Childhood presents a unique set of problems for both children and their parents. Children commonly struggle to manage their emotions and communicate the complexities of what they are experiencing. Children often show their discomfort in troubling ways, ranging from outbursts to social withdraw, as well as significant behavioural concerns such as fighting and lying.

As older children develop, they may face interpersonal challenges such as sibling rivalry or social issues as a result of bullying. Isolation, anger, anxiety, and sadness are frequent challenges that children confront as they transition into adolescence with their peer group.

Better You HQ Counselling provides children's counselling services for children aged 6-11 years, to help your child overcome childhood struggles by increasing resilience, self-esteem, and emotional intelligence. Our expert counsellors specialise in children's mental health and development and are here to help your child on their path to a happier and healthier life.

These options not only provide flexibility in terms of scheduling but also allow clients to receive support in a way that best suits their individual needs.

1.
In-Person

We understand that taking the first step towards getting help can be daunting, and we are here to offer a supportive and caring environment. At Better You HQ Counselling  we offer in-person counselling services in a private and comfortable environment.

Our beautiful Mansfield office is light and bright and is conveniently located with a private entrance and under cover off-street parking, allowing for your utmost privacy and convenience.

2.
Tee Talk

We understand that counselling can be intimidating for kids and teenagers. Instead of traditional couches and chairs, we offer a private outdoor setting with a 4-hole putting green at our Mansfield office. Our Tee Talk counselling sessions combine the power of counselling with the fun of playing mini-golf to provide an enjoyable and relaxed atmosphere for meaningful conversations to get the most out of your counselling.

3.
Walk and Talk

Walk and Talk sessions provide an opportunity to explore issues in a different way, combining the therapeutic power of a relaxing walk outdoors with the benefits of talking therapy. This type of counselling can be particularly helpful for those who feel overwhelmed in traditional counselling settings but still prefer meeting in-person.

By connecting with nature, clients can gain clarity and insight and move towards positive change and growth.

4.
Online

Online (Telehealth) allows you to access counselling from the comfort of your home. Our experienced counsellor will provide you with a safe and supportive environment to explore your thoughts and feelings. With our telehealth services, you can chat via WhatsApp, talk or video call and receive the same level of care you would expect from an in-person session.

You will need a laptop, tablet or mobile and internet connection for video appointments. If you prefer over the phone, then just a mobile or landline.
